SCAN: SEMI Career and Apprenticeship Network Resources for Educators
The SEMI Foundation offers a comprehensive suite of free, industry-aligned resources designed to integrate semiconductor education into K-12 classrooms. These materials include teacher-developed lesson plans and mini-units aligned with Next Generation Science Standards, available through a partnership with Ignited Education. Additionally, the SEMI High Tech U program provides educators with STEM kits, such as Micro:bit or CircuitScribe, accompanied by industry-relevant curricula to facilitate hands-on exploration of semiconductor concepts. To further support career exploration, the SEMI Career Exploration Portal guides students through various pathways in the semiconductor industry. Educators can also utilize the “Chip In” documentary and accompanying viewer’s guide to introduce students to real-world applications and career opportunities within the field.
